PP+K SCORES HOME SHOPPING NET, TIRES PLUS

DALLAS -- Pyper Paul + Kenney said it has doubled its billings to more than $40 million in 2006, thanks in large part to a series of account wins in recent weeks.

The 2-year-old shop Tampa, Fla., independent has added Home Shopping Network, Tires Plus and Touch Handmade Vodka to its national roster, along with regional clients Yacht StarShip and The Palm Restaurant.

PP+K also represents Circle K, Major League Baseball's Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Sweetbay Supermarket, the Florida Aquarium and Lee Roy Selmon's.

PP+K PROVES LOCAL AGENCY'S TALENT CAN DRAW NATIONAL ACCOUNTS

Tampa, Fla. - December 1, 2006 - Award-winning Tampa creative ad agency Pyper Paul + Kenney Inc. announced today that several recent national advertising and public relations wins have brought the agency's annual capitalized billings to more than $40 million in just a little more than two years.

PP+K's recent account wins include:

Tires Plus, a division of Bridgestone Corp. that operates more than 500 stores across the U.S.;

TAMPA AD AGENCY ATTEMPTS NEW KIND OF RAY HIT

An infectious rock tune that has permeated Tampa Bay Devil Rays commercials and broadcasts this season could eventually become a local hit on radio, depending largely on how well the team plays.

Pyper Paul + Kenney, agency of record for the Raysí ongoing turnaround effort, introduced the song "Higher (We Come to Play)" during the preseason with the full 4-minute version played on local radio stations as part of the Opening Day festivities April 10.

Pyper Paul + Kenney is a Tampa ad agency known for its creativity and success attracting big name clients. But Paul  Daigle, president, apparently doesn't want his account executives to get too expressive when there are photographers around.

No one at PP+K is allowed to smile for photos, Business Journal photographer Kathleen Cabble was told when trying to line up a group shot.

TAMPA -- Pyper Paul + Kenney has taken the lead in the medal count, even before the Tampa Bay Advertising Federation gets ready to announce the winners of this year's ADDY awards.

The TBAF got a record number of entries this year: 856 versus the average 600 it has received in the past, said Jeff Zanpino, ADDY's chair.
