Pyper Paul + Kenney Sweeps Up at Regional Ad Agency Competition

Tampa, Fla. - May 07, 2007 - Pyper Paul + Kenney won more awards than any other ad agency and dominated the competition at the American Advertising Federation's (AAF) District Four regional ADDY Awards Show held this past weekend in Miami. The AAF's 4th District region includes the entire state of Florida and the Caribbean.
With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world's largest and arguably toughest advertising competition, highlighting the best work in the industry. And this year's 4th District regional ADDY Competition has become perhaps the largest and most competitive regional event in the national competition. All Gold ADDY winners at the district competition move on to the final round in the national competition being held in Louisville, Kentucky in June.
With 86 companies winning awards in this year's regional competition, Pyper Paul + Kenney finished first in total awards, winning 43 total awards for 8 different clients including Sweetbay Supermarket, Tampa Bay Devil Rays, The Florida Holocaust Museum, Reeves Import Motorcars, Touch Vodka and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department.  The agency's awards included 9 Gold Awards (more than any other agency), and 3 of the coveted Best of Show awards handed out at this year's event.  The Best of Show awards were for Best Consumer Print, Best Sales Promotion and Best Mixed Media Campaign.
"It's absolutely awesome that a 3-year old Tampa ad agency has finished first at our regional awards competition," said Paul Daigle, PP+K's president. "There's a lot to be said for the fact that we've been singled out over much larger agencies out of Miami, Jacksonville and Orlando."
"The awards shows have been a great recruiting tool for our agency," said Tom Kenney, the agency's executive creative director. "We work very hard for our Clients to produce bottom-line results, and in large part our success with our Clients is the result of having assembled one of the most talented strategic and creative teams in the Southeast."
